EVENT: The launch of Cornwall Connection
Monday 4th September - Cornwall Connection (London event) BOOKING FOR THIS EVENT HAS NOW CLOSED We are delighted to invite you to the launch of Cornwall Connection, a CCF network for the new generation of supporters outside the county. We will be launching the network on the 4th September with an evening at the office of Schroders in London, where speakers from CCF and CCF supporter Peter Harrison, chief executive of Schroders, will share their experience working with CCF and Cornwall more broadly. You may not know it, but beyond the beaches and holiday hotspots, Cornwall is one of the most deprived regions of the country. Over a fifth of children are living in poverty, more than 1,500 people battle homelessness every night, and thousands more are struggling to keep their heads above the water in the midst of a cost of living crunch. Cornwall Community Foundation is an organisation which funds community and grassroots non-profit organisations that are tackling those issues and changing people’s lives across the county. And to do that, it needs to spread the word to new people beyond its shores. The event is open to anyone with a love or interest in Cornwall.
