The Brambles Nursery receives Build Back Better fund in order to reopen safely
The Brambles Nursery provides high-quality day nursery and childcare services for St Just and the surrounding area.
At The Brambles Nursery, they believe children flourish best when their personal, social and emotional needs are met and where there are clear and developmentally appropriate expectations for their behaviour. Children need to learn to consider the views and feelings, needs and rights of others and the impact their behaviour has on people, places and objects.
The Nursery closed from March 23rd and reopened June 8th for pre-schoolers, key worker children and children of parents returning to work. During the lockdown, they provided parents – through their Facebook page – with activities and stories to share with their children and prepare them for school or returning to nursery. Now they are able to open fully it is essential that all the changes can be made to ensure they are following government guidelines, endeavouring to maintain standards for the safety and wellbeing of all children, staff and parents.
From our Build Back Better Fund, Brambles Nursery received £4,858.68 which went towards many things including a new doorbell, alarm, gate and pram shelter in order for them to reopen and welcome their children back safely.
With the winter approaching, an undercover structure is required for parents to be able to leave their child’s pram outside. The alarm system would ensure a safe and secure entryway into the setting and allow the staff and parents to know the building is secure and the children are safe.
The gate ensures the parents will not have to pass each other on the path, providing access straight into the car park where the designated car spaces ensuring a one-way system. Any money towards the sanitizing and cleaning products will allow the setting to have resources to purchase any new equipment or products required by the children to support their learning and development.
We are pleased that through our Build Back Better Fund organisations such as The Brambles are able to reopen knowing they are operating safely.
