A.S.K 4 All celebrates a milestone birthday for the group members with help from the Business Club Fund
The Business Club Fund
A.S.K. 4 All has been providing support, information and activities to people with disabilities and their families for over 23 years. The main aim of the group is to continue to enable people to participate in exciting activities, to meet with and make new friends and to share experiences.
They also support carers, giving opportunities to meet up away from their often-exhausting caring role.
Grant awarded and impact
With a £940 grant from the Business Club FundA sum of money made available for grant making, often with specific criteria/conditions. the group provided a disco boat to celebrate eight of their group members turning 40. The party brought together 55 members in total, many of whom have been supported by A.S.K. 4 All for decades. The event enabled them to enjoy the most amazing evening celebrating with friends and family in a safe environment.
Providing this kind of activity helps prevent isolation and allows everyone to spend time together and share a positive, enjoyable experience with people who understand the issues faced by those with learning disabilities and their families.
Being able to celebrate with new friends and old in a safe and supportive environment had a huge impact of the group building wonderful memories.
It was fantastic to see everyone dancing and singing, having fun together. The best thing was seeing so many happy, smiling faces. It was a brilliant, memorable evening that will be talked about for a long time to come.
