Urgent appeal: Surviving Winter

KBSK’s youth nights see more than 100 young people walk through their doors

Date awarded: Feb 2026

On Monday evening we had the absolute pleasure of visiting Adie and the wonderful team at KBSK CIC – and what an inspiring evening it was.

During our visit, we saw first-hand the energy and enthusiasm that fills this much-loved community space. Over the course of the evening, more than 100 young people walked through the doors to take part in youth dance classes – a powerful reminder of just how valued KBSK is within the local community. The atmosphere was vibrant, welcoming and full of confidence-building activity.

But KBSK is about so much more than dance.

The team also runs regular Cuppa Care mornings, thoughtfully designed to bring older members of the community together. These sessions create new friendships and provide a warm, welcoming space that helps tackle isolation and loneliness – issues we know can affect many people across our communities.

Alongside this, KBSK provides food parcels to families in need, working closely with local foodbanks and supermarkets to ensure practical support reaches those who need it most. It’s a holistic, community-first approach that makes a real difference on the ground.

We are incredibly proud to support KBSK and everything they stand for. Their passion, commitment and community spirit shine through in every aspect of their work.

Bodmin is truly lucky to have them and we are grateful for such a warm welcome.

Thank you for having us.
