Celebrating community at Lanivet Parish Community Centre

A huge thank you to Barry and his fantastic team at Lanivet Parish Community Centre for showing us around yesterday.

Since 2017, Cornwall Community Foundation has proudly supported the centre with grants that have helped cover running costsThe running costs of your organisation. This is the money you need to make your work happen. These are also called overheads, running costs or operating costs., make the building COVID-safe, and refurbish the café – creating a welcoming space for everyone in the community.

During our visit, we saw just how much the centre is at the heart of local life. On a typical Wednesday morning, classes like Zumba, Pilates, and embroidery are in full swing. We also witnessed accessible vehicle training outside, a busy café serving the community, and meeting rooms being used by local organisations for a wide range of activities.

It’s clear that Lanivet Parish Community Centre is more than just a building. It’s a true hub for people of all ages and backgrounds, bringing the local community together in a vibrant, inclusive space.

We are delighted to see the centre going from strength to strength, and we want to say a special thank you to Barry for all the dedication and hard work that makes this possible.
