Urgent: Cornwall's Housing Action Appeal

East Langford Solar Farm Fund have supported Morwenstow Football Club for 10 years

Morwenstow Football Club have received over £20,000 of funding from the East Langford Solar Farm Fund since 2015. This funding has been instrumental in the evolution of the club and expanding it’s offering to the community.

Morwenstow football club is a small village club which runs 3 adult, including a walking football team, and 7 youth teams. The youth teams range from 6- 16 years old with 150 youth players signed on to play for the club. It is an important part of the community. The club is run by volunteers giving their time and commitment freely.

Within the past ten years, thanks to this generous funding, the club has evolved into a vibrant, bustling community club attracting new players to both their adult and youth teams, as well as the wider community who come together on their fun days which sees around 500 people come through their doors.

Back in 2015, the first grant awarded to the club was used to buy a defibrillator, a vital resource for the parish. More recently the funding has been used to add an outdoor fitness suite, new goals posts, a new BBQ, clubhouse seating and a new line marker.

CCF have been proud to support the club as an invaluable hub for the community, bringing together players and spectators of all demographic within a rural part of the county.
