Grant programme:

Commissioner’s Community Grant Scheme

Since 2019 KBSK Performing Arts CIC has been a safe and accessible place for local children and young people from low-socioeconomic backgrounds to access dance training.

KBSK particularly focuses on children and families that come from financial and social deprivation who, struggle with mental health and children with complex additional needs. KBSK believe that every child deserves the opportunity to access dance and every child deserves a space to express themselves and be given the opportunity to flourish.

Funding from the Commissioner’s Community Grant Scheme from the Scheme helped KBSK to create a youth centre with an inclusive and supportive atmosphere for young people in Bodmin, enabling them to thrive and exceed socially in society. The activities of the youth centre were designed to be collaborative and allowing young people to engage with like-minded others through group sessions and activities.
