Emily Bolitho Fund

The Emily Bolitho Fund supports Penzance residents facing hardship due to poor health or low income.

Grants, applied for by organisations, help with essential needs like accessibility updates, furniture, childcare, or kitchen equipment.  To simplify the process, applicants are encouraged to submit collective applications for multiple individuals requiring support, especially young people, within a single form.

Grant requirements

To apply for a grant your organisation must meet the general Eligibility Criteria. In addition to this, you must also meet the specific criteria of the grant listed below:

Who can apply:

Organisations supporting applicants vulnerable to economic hardship.

Organisations based in Penzance.

What it will support:

Essential needs like accessibility improvements, furniture, kitchen equipment or child-orientated costs.

IT and technology costs.

Retrospective costs.

Organisations outside of Penzance.

The Emily Bolitho Fund was set up in 2013 by a trust transfer from the Emily Bolitho Nurses’ Home. The fundholder is the Bolitho family, they are from Penzance.
