Grant requirements
To apply for a grant your organisation must meet the general Eligibility Criteria. In addition to this, you must also meet the specific criteria of the grant listed below:
Who can apply:
Grassroots voluntary and community organisations operating in Newquay and surrounding areas (postcodes TR7 and TR8), or projects that benefit people in these communities.
What it will support:
Projects with a focus on environmental sustainability, social mobility, or both.
- Environmental: Projects that protect, restore, or educate around local environment, biodiversity, climate action, or sustainability.
- Social Mobility: Initiatives that support skills development, training, education, employability, or opportunities for disadvantaged communities.
- Dual Impact: Projects that combine environmental benefits with social mobility outcomes (e.g. green skills training, community growing schemes, etc.).
Application Guidance
- Clear demonstration of community benefit and long-term impact.
- Preference for locally rooted initiatives with measurable outcomes.
- Repeat applicants must show evidence of success/progress from previous funding.
- Any projects or applicants outside of Newquay or surrounding areas. (TR7 and TR8).
- Projects lacking focus on environmental or social mobility themes.
The Fund was established by the owners of the iconic Headland Hotel in 2019/20. John and Carolyn Armstrong purchased the hotel in 1979 and are still the current owners.
