Grant requirements

To apply for a grant your organisation must meet the general Eligibility criteria. In addition to this, you must also meet the specific criteria of the grant listed below:

Who can apply:

Grassroots voluntary and community organisations operating in Newquay and surrounding areas (postcodes TR7 and TR8), or projects that benefit people in these communities.

What it will support:

• Environmental Projects: that protect, restore, or educate around local environment, biodiversity, climate action, or sustainability.
• Social Mobility Initiatives: that support skills development, training, education, employability, or opportunities for disadvantaged communities.
• Dual Impact Projects: that combine environmental benefits with social mobility outcomes (e.g. green skills training, community growing schemes, etc.).

Applications should:

• Clearly demonstrate the community benefit and long-term impact.
• Be locally rooted initiatives with measurable outcomes.
• Describe what quantitative outcome the project will deliver and how it will be measured and reported at the end of the project.

Previously successful repeat applicants must show evidence of success/progress from prior funding and have returned previous end of grant forms.

Newquay is home to many fantastic groups, and this year we’re delighted to open the Headland Hotel Community Fund up to partnership applications alongside the usual single-organisation route.

If there is a project you’ve always wanted to try but you don’t have all the skills in-house, this could be your moment. Think about collaborating with another organisation (or two), whose strengths complement yours, and taking a joined-up approach. We can’t wait to see what you come up with.
