The Papillon Fund welcomes applications to support community projects in the following areas: St Thomas & South Petherwin Nr Launceston.

The Papillon Fund supports community projects within the parishes of St Thomas & South Petherwin Nr Launceston. Out of area applications maybe considered on the condition the beneficiaries attending the project reside within the listed Parishes (evidence of this will be required).

Grant requirements

To apply for a grant your organisation must meet the general Eligibility criteria. In addition to this, you must also meet the specific criteria of the grant listed below:

Who can apply:

  • Charities, CICs and community and voluntary groups working in the Parishes of St Thomas & South Petherwin nr Launceston.

What it will support:

  • Core cost such as room rental and salaries may be considered if towards a specific project but not for ongoing costs of an organisation.
  • Improving the sustainability and/or carbon footprint of their organsation or the community
  • Projects including an educational element will be looked upon favourably
  • Projects or activities outside of the listed area
  • Commercial profit making organisations
  • Organisations with significant free reserves
  • Statutory /public sector organsations such as health authorities, schools, hospitals, parish and town councils
  • Contributions to an endowment, payments of deficit funding or repayment loans
  • Grant making orhanisations or bodies who fundraise or distribute grants on behalf of other organisations
  • Activities or projects which have already happened
  • Regional offices of national bodies that do not benefit local people
  • Organisations whose beneficiaries are not people
  • Organisations or projects intended to influence people’s religious choices or to promote a particular belief
  • Individuals or projects that help only one individual
  • The promotion of political causes

Managed by West Cornwall Wind Farms, Papillon is one of a number of projects for which they have set up a fund for the benefit of the local community. They are committed to enabling the social change required to create a low carbon future for the UK. Investing in renewable energy power production as an alternative to fossil fuels, it aims to offer a safe preservation of capital invested in renewable and cleantech projects.
