Cornwall Christmas Fair raises over £79k to support Cornish communities

This year’s sell-out Cornwall Christmas Fair raised a record-breaking £79,500, smashing through the £1 million total since the Fair began. The critical funds will help change lives across Cornwall by supporting community and grassroots non-profit organisations through Cornwall Community Foundation.

As well as the incredible fundraising feat, this year’s edition of the Fair which took place on 22nd and 23rd November, also marked the event’s tenth year at the Eden Project where it has a festive home in the Link Building nestled between the iconic biomes. The biomes shone purple for the duration of the Cornwall Christmas Fair, thanks to the Fair’s generous sponsor, Cornish internet provider, Wildanet.

Over 60 stallholders offering everything from artisan food and drink to handmade homewares came together at the event with all stallholders generously donating a percentage of takings to the fundraising effort.

The Fair is organised by a team of volunteers. Committee Co-Chair, Jane Hartley, comments: “We are delighted to have surpassed our ambitious fundraising target - £79,500 this year and £1 million in the history of the Fair. This money will make such a difference to communities across Cornwall and it wouldn’t have been possible without the ongoing support of our wonderful sponsors, stallholders, Fair visitors and the Eden Project.”

The 2023 Cornwall Christmas Fair was sponsored and supported by: Wildanet, Rodda’s, Lillicrap Chilcott, Evelyn Partners, The Cornwall Bakery, Whyfield, Seasalt Cornwall, St Eval, Coodes Solicitors, Healey’s, Impress51, St Austell Printing Company, Jarrang, Stacks Property Search, Handelsbanken, Trevornick, St Austell Brewery, The Old Ship Hotel and Wild Card.
