Support CCF in Will Aid Month
Will Aid Month
Every November, solicitors across the country volunteer their time with Will Aid.
Instead of asking their clients to pay for a basic Will, participating solicitors invite clients to make a donation to Will Aid. They will then donate the money they raise during November to:Age UKBritish Red CrossChristian AidNSPCCSave the ChildrenSCIAFTrócaire
This is a great way to update your Will and make a positive difference. You can also make a difference by providing a legacy.
What is a legacy?
Your ‘legacy’ is a gift you leave to a person or organisation in your Will. There are three types of gift you can leave:A share of your estateA fixed amount of moneyA particular item
Leaving a gift to Cornwall Community Foundationin your Will is an incredible way to make a lasting impact on your community. There are so many groups making a positive impact in Cornwall, and many donors find it is hard to choose who to support.
After looking at different options, most of our donors choose the Foundation because they know their money will reach a diverse range of good, local causes.
What can I do with my legacy?
A gift to Cornwall Community Foundation in your Will means we can continue to support local people and communities for generations to come, there different ways you can do this:Support Cornwall by naming Cornwall Community Foundation as a beneficiary in your Will. Those funds can then be used across the Duchy to support a range of causes and respond to urgent need.Support an existing fundA sum of money made available for grant making, often with specific criteria/conditions.. We have more than 70 existing funds that support a range of local communities and themes, like youth projectsA piece of work that delivers an output. and mental health. If one of these funds support a cause close to your heart, you may choose to leave money to them.
Create a named fund with the Foundation that acts much like a charitable trust. For example, a bequest of £25,000 can be used to create a permanent fund, held in our endowmentMoney that is invested for the long-term., which will be carefully invested. The income from the fund will then be given away in grants each year in line with your wishes.
