On June 20th, The Great Gardens of Cornwall, hosted The Great Art Auction, at the Lemon Street Market in Truro. With the help of the incredibly talented artists and art enthusiasts, the evening was a success and raised an incredible £5,350 for Cornwall Community Foundation.

The walls were lined with bright artwork, each piece inspired by one of Cornwall's great gardens. The artists responsible for creating such wonderful pieces were: Lizzie Black; Andrew Tozer; Rob Rimmington; Nicky Walker; Mary Jago; Kate Cambridge; Lorna Tremayne; Susan Nathan; and Carol O’Toole.

The bidding was a lively affair and with thanks to the fantastic auctioneers, Edward Buckland Ltd, the event raised over £5,000.

Tamas Haydu, CEO of Cornwall Community Foundation said: “The money raised goes towards some incredible projects across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, and we’re truly thankful to everyone that supports our cause, especially to the artists who have given their time and creativity to help make positive impacts in the county.”

Thank you to everyone involved for making the evening such a huge success.
