We’re proud to work with a range of statutory and major funders to distribute large scale community-based funding across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
This includes working closely with Cornwall Council, Integrated Care Board, and Cornwall Voluntary Sector Forum to distribute large funds across hundreds of community partners.
Cornwall Community Foundation offers a complete solution for supporting community-based funding approaches for public bodies and major funders, with expert understanding of local need; streamlined application and distribution processes; and flexible reporting options to understand your impact and inform your wider funding strategies.
“Working in collaboration with the Cornwall Community Foundation helps us to help so many people who are in crisis. From stopping evictions, helping to replace new furniture ruined by unfit housing conditions to helping with money for electricity to provide heating, hot water and cooking facilities. Here at Wadebridge Foodbank & StoreHouse our strap line is “Restoring Dignity – Reviving Hope”. CCF your help is invaluable. Thank you from all of us.”
Benefits of partnering with Cornwall Community Foundation
We’ve distributed over £20 million since 2003, and have a strong understanding of the diverse needs of community groups across Cornwall and Isles of Scilly. When establishing the criteria for your fund, we can advise on strategies to ensure funds are directed to where the need is greatest and where your funds will achieve maximum impact in creating resilient communities. Where appropriate, this may include facilitating community co-production sessions to ensure your funding is directly influenced by the needs of the communities you support.
We can work with you to establish monitoring reporting and/or learning events with funded groups to demonstrate impact and inform continuous learning for funding community-based approaches to tackling systemic issues.
You can have as much or little involvement in the award process as you choose. For example, some partners choose to sit on grant awarding panels for input and oversight.
You can increase the impact of your available funding by partnering with our community of philanthropists, who can contribute towards the amount of funds available to reach more community groups and beneficiaries. Where possible, we will divert unsuccessful applications to our other available funds to ensure that strong projects can still receive funding, even if your available funding pot is oversubscribed.
We regularly organise visits to projects that have received funding, which is a great way to better understand the impact of your funds. We are also able to set up volunteering opportunities for your staff and/or Trustees.
