Grant requirements

To apply for a grant your organisation must meet the general Eligibility criteria. In addition to this, you must also meet the specific criteria of the grant listed below:

Who can apply:

  • Charities, CICs and community and voluntary groups working in Cornwall or The Isles of Scilly whose main purpose is to serve those with disabilities.

What it will support:

Projects that improve the quality of life, independence, or inclusion of people with disabilities in Cornwall.

All projects must benefit children, young people or adults with a disability who live in Cornwall or the Isles of Scilly. This includes physical, learning, mental and sensory disabilities. Please note: mental health conditions only qualify as a disability if they have a long-term (likely to last more than 12 months) negative effect on normal day to day activity (something you do regularly in a normal day).

The panel will consider applications for a wide range of projects – activities, advice and support, capital projects such as new equipment or building work, core costs, salaries and training.

  • Commercial profit making organisations
  • Organisations with significant free reserves
  • Statutory/public sector organisations such as health authorities, schools, hospitals, parish and town councils
