East Langford Solar FundA sum of money made available for grant making, often with specific criteria/conditions. welcomes applications to support community projectsA piece of work that delivers an output. in the following Areas: Stratton, Kilkhampton, Launcells and Morwenstow.
Projects with an educational element or awareness of reducing their carbon footprint may be given priority.
All involved with East Langford Solar Farm strongly believe that local communities should benefit from the solar farm and the East Langford Solar Farm Fund has been made available to support good causes local to the site, for every year of the solar farm’s working life.
NB Projects to start from 7th December 2026 and end by 6th December 2027

Grant requirements
To apply for a grant your organisation must meet the general Eligibility criteria. In addition to this, you must also meet the specific criteria of the grant listed below:
Who can apply:
- Charities, CICs and community and voluntary groups working in Stratton, Kilkhampton, Launcells and Morwenstow. Your organisation must be based in and soley for the benefit of the people within these areas
What it will support:
- Core cost such as room rental and salaries may be considered if towards a specific project but not for ongoing costs of an organisation.
- Improving the sustainability and / or carbon footprint of their organisation or the community
- Projects including an educational element will be looked upon favourably.NB Projects to start from 7th December 2026 and end by 6th December 2027
• Commercial profit-making organisations
• Organisations with significant free reserves, contact us if you’re unsure
• Statutory/public sector organisations such as health authorities, schools, hospitals, parish and town councils
• Contributions to an endowment, payment of deficit funding or repayment of loans
• Grant making organisations or bodies who fundraise or distribute grants on behalf of other organisations
• Retrospective grants
• Regional offices of national bodies that do not benefit local people
• Organisations whose beneficiaries are not people
• Organisations or projects intended to influence people’s religious choices or to promote a particular belief system (we support religious spaces that provide an inclusive community space)
• The promotion of political causes
Managed by Low Carbon, East Langford Solar Farm is one of a number of projects for which they have set up a Community benefit fund.
Low Carbon is a renewable energy company, committed to enabling the social change required to create a low carbon future for the UK.
Investing in renewable energy power production as an alternative to fossil fuels, it aims to offer a safe preservation of capital invested in renewable and cleantech projects
