The Jack Moon and Lors Fund
The Jack Moon and Lors Fund supports voluntary activities in Lostwithiel and St Winnow that help to maintain the traditions and culture of these communities.
The type of activities or organisations the fundA sum of money made available for grant making, often with specific criteria/conditions. aims to support are:
– The voluntary gardening or planning of community areas including seasonal decorations (but not to substitute for work which is the responsibility of local government, councils or other public bodies);
– Musical activities or theatre for public performance done by volunteers, such as community based bands, choirs or drama groups
– Support for the communities heritage and its awareness, such as museums or voluntary preservation groups- but not including activities which are the responsibility of public authorities; private individuals or organisations; or other funded charitable bodies;
– To support culture or folklore events identifiable with or traditional to Lostwithiel or St Winnow

Who can apply
- An application for a grant must be made by an organisation for the benefit of the communities of Lostwithiel and St Winnow
What it will support
Grants will be available to individuals within Cornwall who require support with the following; this is not an exhaustive list:
- Planning or maintenance of community spaces or seasonal decorations
- Musical activities or theatre for public performance done by volunteers, such as community based bands, choirs or drama groups
- Support for the communities heritage and its awareness, such as museums or voluntary preservation groups
- To support culture or folklore events identifiable with or traditional to Lostwithiel or St Winnow;
What it won’t support
- Purposes which are the responsibility of public or corporate bodies
- The maintenance of buildings or public property
- Salaries wages or paid work, in exceptional circumstances the panel may consider fees for training
- The benefit of individuals
