Budock Vean Gin & Jazz for the Foundation
A fundraising event at Budock Vean, the country house hotel on the outskirts of Falmouth, raised £1,200 for Cornwall Community Foundation.
Over 40 people attended the gin and jazz evening at the hotel on Friday 13th March. Guests enjoyed live music courtesy of Tim Greenhalgh from The Elastic Lounge and sampled a wide range of Cornish gins and tonics.
Martin Barlow, owner of Budock Vean Hotel, says, “We’re really grateful to everyone who attended the evening. We send a huge thank you to fellow local businesses Rosemullion Gin, Navas Tonics and St Austell Brewery for helping to supply the wide array of drinks and to Tim at Elastic Lounge for providing the perfect backdrop for the evening.”
The event, which took place in the hotel’s newly refurbished private hire suite, saw guests enjoying canapes prepared by the hotel’s talented team of chefs and every penny of the ticket money went straight to the Foundation.
Jeremy Ward, CCF Development Director, says,“We know that now more than ever our support will be needed across Cornwall and we’re really grateful to Budock Vean and all our other fundraisers for their ongoing support. Not only have the Budock Vean hosted the Gin & Jazz evening, they are also valued members of our Business Club and have also presented us with a cheque for £3,200 raised from their guest donation scheme.”
