Jo Ashby on why she became a Friend of the Foundation

Across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, incredible community groups are changing lives every day. From supporting young people and tackling loneliness to improving mental health and helping communities thrive, their work is only possible because people choose to invest in their local communities.

That’s why our Friends of the Foundation are so important.

One of our long-standing Friends, Jo Ashby, has been supporting Cornwall Community Foundation for many years. For Jo, becoming a Friend was about making a real difference close to home.

She explains:

“Being a Friend of CCF means helping connect those with the ability to give to the communities that need support most. Through our work, I see both the opportunities and inequalities that exist across Cornwall. CCF provides a trusted way to channel generosity into meaningful local impact, helping build a stronger, fairer county for everyone. Please join us.”

Jo’s words reflect what being a Friend is all about – joining a community of people who believe everyone should have the opportunity to thrive, no matter where they live or the challenges they face.

By becoming a Friend of the Foundation, you’ll be helping us provide vital funding to grassroots organisations that know their communities best. You’ll also become part of a growing network of people who care deeply about making Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly a better place for everyone.

Whether you’ve supported us before or are looking for a new way to give back, we’d love you to join us.

Together, we can continue to invest in local people, strengthen our communities and create lasting change where it’s needed most.

Become a Friend of the Foundation today and help shape a stronger future for Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
