New fund opens to support creative celebrations of Her Majesty The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee
A new programme to support communities creatively celebrating Her Majesty The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee is welcoming applications for funding.
Cornwall Community Foundation is pleased to be working with UK Community Foundations and Arts Council England to distribute this exciting new fund.
The programme is made possible with funding from the National Lottery, whose players raise £30million for good causes every week. The fund’s distribution will be managed by UK Community Foundations on behalf of their community foundation members across England.
Tamas Haydu, CEO of Cornwall Community Foundation said “We’re delighted to be part of this once in a lifetime opportunity to celebrate the Queens Platinum Jubilee. Thank you so much to Arts Council England for the fantastic fund. We can’t wait to provide funding to local grassroots projects in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly and look forward to seeing the creative projects in action in 2022.”
Applicants are invited to apply for grants of up to £10,000 with the average award anticipated to be £3,000.
Darren Henley, Chief Executive at Arts Council England said “We’re giving people across the country the chance to come together to experience the joy of culture and creativity in celebration of this historic milestone. With the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee taking place alongside the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games Festival and the Unboxed festival of UK creativity, next year is set to be a magnificent celebration of our nation’s artistic achievements.”
