Over £1,500 raised for CCF at Pentillie Estate open day

On Sunday the 12th of April, we had the pleasure of attending an open day at Pentillie Estate and Gardens, held in support of Cornwall Community Foundation.

It was a truly uplifting event, bringing together members of the community for a day filled with warmth, connection, and generosity.

Thanks to the incredible support of everyone who attended, the day raised an impressive £1,506.90. These funds will go directly towards supporting the vital work of Cornwall Community Foundation (CCF), helping community groups across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly address pressing issues such as child poverty, loneliness, inclusivity, and homelessness – alongside many other challenges faced by local people.

The gardens were enjoyed to their fullest, offering a stunning backdrop for what was a joyful and sunny day. We were delighted to meet so many new faces, as well as reconnect with familiar Friends of the Foundation. Visitors were also treated to a performance from Livewire Youth Project – a Saltash based charity who combine music-making with mental health support for young people, a group CCF have supported for more than a decade.

Tamas Haydu, CEO of CCF, shared his appreciation:

“We are so grateful to Pentillie Estate for supporting Cornwall Community Foundation with their open day. It was a joy to explore the beautiful grounds and chat to lots of local people from the area. The money raised will used to support the ongoing work of Cornwall Community Foundation to help us reach even more communities in need.”

We are extremely grateful to Pentillie Estate for choosing Cornwall Community Foundation as their charity partner for the day. Their support plays a meaningful role in helping to build stronger, more resilient communities across the region.

Thank you to everyone who joined us. Events like this are a powerful reminder of what can be achieved when communities come together with purpose and generosity.
