Charities in Cornwall

There are so many groups doing great things in Cornwall, and we are honoured to be able to support a great number of them. Here is a list of just seventeen charities in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly who are making a difference in their communities.

Cornwall Community Foundation

We of course have to start with CCF. Since 2003, Cornwall Community Foundation have been connecting donors with charities and community groups, supporting philanthropy in Cornwall.

Cornwall Wildlife Trust

West Cornwall Women’s Aid is a charity in Penwith helping women who have experienced domestic abuse and sexual violence with a range of services including refuge, counselling and resettlement.

Beach Guardian

Beach Guardian was founded by Rob Stevenson and his daughter Emily to address marine pollution and promote environmental education.

West Cornwall Women’s Aid

West Cornwall Women’s Aid is a charity in Penwith helping women who have experienced domestic abuse and sexual violence with a range of services including refuge, counselling and resettlement.

WILD Young Parents

Based in Cornwall, WILD is the largest young parents’ charity in the UK. WILD welcomes young parents, their children, and young people who are expecting a baby.

Cornwall Pride

Cornwall Pride promotes diversity, inclusion, and acceptance of the LGBTQ+ community in Cornwall by bringing together people from all walks of life with campaigns and 11 annual Pride events.

The Hugs Foundation

The Hugs Foundation is a rescue charity for horses, ponies and donkeys that also provide wellbeing support for vulnerable invdividuals.

Black Voices Cornwall

Black Voices Cornwall are a charity seeking to make an impact in Cornwall, enable  the region to become actively anti-racist.

KBSK

KBSK is a CiC based in Bodmin, one of the most deprived areas in Cornwall. It is a space for the youth, led by the youth that works with families coming from financial and social deprevation.

The Isles of Scilly Charitable Trust

The Isles of Scilly Charitable Trust (IOSCT) was formed  by merging the Edward McDonald Trust and the Pilots Widows Fund. The trust supports individuals and groups on the Isles of Scilly.

Moorvision

Moorvision provides information, advice, support and activities for families of children and young people with vision impairments in Devon and Cornwall.

Georgia’s Voice

A Cornish charity supporting women, Georgia’s Voice offers small, free, confidential support groups for young women with mental health concerns. Offering a safe place to talk, listen or just be.

Truro Foodbank

Truro Foodbank is one of the many foodbanks doing great work across Cornwall, providing food and advice for locals.

TRELYA

Trelya (the Cornish word for ‘change’), is an award-winning charity working to improve mental health, wellbeing, and enable positive change in West Cornwall’s most under resourced communities.

AdSurf

AdSurf was set up in 2022, with the aim of including everyone who wants to experience the benefits of the sea and surfing, by providing accessible and adaptive surfing to people with disabilities, mental health conditions and neurodiversity.
